ABM Supports Teams4U & HIV/AIDS Prevention Charity
Posted by Clare Hatchman on 30th September 2010 to Company
At ABM Solicitors, we endeavour to help support local and international charities as part of our corporate social responsibility programme, and a recent donation we made to Teams4U helped them to make a very important trip to Uganda.
Teams4U believe in giving children in deprived areas a second chance and a way to rediscover their self-worth through fun, team orientated activities. On this project, Teams4U’s goal was to support local HIV/AIDS education teams who provide advice, testing and counselling services to people who have contracted, or are at risk of contracting the virus in Africa.
By working together, Teams4U was able to provide the local teams with transport and a sports programme designed to bring the entire community together, from children to grandparents, where the education teams could promote their services.

Next year the Teams4U sports project will continue to work with the HIV education team but help improve the teaching of the program with better visual aids to help children understand more about the virus. It also intends to increase the number of locations where the HIV testing can take place.
We at ABM Solicitors were very pleased to hear about the trip’s success from Andrew Hosgood, director of Summit Physiotherapy who was involved in the trip, and honoured when he sent us these photographs showing some of the local people who benefitted from the charity’s visit.
If you would like to help support Teams4U and learn more about their projects for the coming year, please visit Teams4U today. We wish them every future success!
